The Church of St. Nicholas in Trzęsacz is a historic building that, originally wooden and later made of brick, was one of the impressive churches in Western Pomerania. Unfortunately, due to erosion of the land on which it stood, it gradually deteriorated, leaving only ruins, which are now protected as a monument.
This place attracts tourists not only for its history, but also for the legend of the mermaid Zielenica, who was supposedly caught in a fisherman's net right in Trzęsacz. This tale is often passed on by tourist guides and locals, adding to the extraordinary charm of this picturesque place.
